Step 1: Create Volume Discount
Navigate to the 'Volume Discounts' tab in the menu on the left-hand side of the Intelligems app. Once there, if this is your first Volume Discount, you will land on the Create Discount page. If you have already created a Volume Discount with Intelligems, click 'Create Volume Discount' below your other discounts.
Step 2: Configure the Volume Discount
1. Add Products if desired.
If you would only like to include specific products in the discount, click 'Add Products' in the top right. This will pull up a window with all products in your Shopify catalog - select which products will be included in the discount by ticking the boxes to the left of the products. To select all products, use the select all box at the top left-hand side of the table. You can also use the search bar at the top of the table, or the filter drop downs to the left of the table to filter the results pulled into the product picker. Once you have selected all necessary products, click 'Add Products' in the bottom right corner.
2. Configure the Minimum Requirement.
Eligibility for a discount tier can be based off of a dollar amount (Cart Subtotal) or a number of items in the cart (Quantity of Items).
3. Configure the Discount Type.
The discount can be in the form of a percentage of the subtotal off or a dollar amount off.
4. Add Discount Tiers.
You are able to create up to four different discount tiers. The configuration of these will depend on what was selected for the minimum requirement and discount type above - for example, if you chose cart subtotal and dollar amount, your tiers may look like the below:
5. Configure the Quantity Selectors.
Quantity selectors are optional buttons showcasing your volume discount that can be used on any of your product detail pages. You can choose from an array of button styles, colors and headers for the selector. This feature is ideal for a Volume Discount based on Quantity of Items.
6. Configure the Progress Bar and/or Cart Messages.
The Progress Bar and Cart Messages are both optional features that will help you communicate with customers around how much more they need to purchase to achieve specific discounts, prompting them to buy more to get the best deal without ever leaving their cart.
Step 3: Save your Volume Discount
Once you have completed all the above steps, you will be able to save your discount with the button in the bottom left. This will enable the discount on the site, but you are always able to disable a discount with the toggle on the right-hand side.
Once you have saved your Volume Discount, you will be able to make updates to the colors for the selectors, progress bar and cart messages under the settings tab under Volume Discounts in the left-hand menu.
